The air is thin, the anticipation is thicker than my morning oatmeal, and somewhere amidst this organized chaos is a rider starting in the 104th position. Yes, you read that right – 104th! Sounds like the beginning of an epic tale? Oh, you bet it is! 🌎

Now, let’s set the scene. The Megavalanche isn’t your average Sunday bike ride. It’s the kind of race that separates the mere mortals from those who seem unhuman, blitzing up and down the treacherous terrain like mountain goats on a caffeine high. They start at a mind-boggling altitude, on a glacier no less, and descend through snow, rocks, and forests faster than you can say “Allez, allez!”

Our hero (let’s call them the 104th Warrior for dramatic effect) begins this odyssey with 103 riders ahead. But what’s a triple-digit start when you’ve got the heart of a lion and the legs of a Tour de France champion? The descent begins, and it’s like watching poetry in motion – if that poetry was written by an extreme sports fanatic with a penchant for near-death experiences.

With every pedal stroke, the 104th Warrior climbs the ranks, passing riders who can’t fathom how this human rocket is defying all odds. By now, it’s not just a race; it’s a downright spectacle.

And then it happens. After a grueling, gravity-defying journey, the 104th Warrior crosses the finish line, not just among the top finishers, but on the podium! From 104th to PODIUM – it’s the stuff of legends, folks. As they say in the Alps, “C’est incroyable!”
